About Us

Corpus Christi Evolution was established in 2024 with a dedicated group of athletes, with a goal of helping each player reach their full potential on and off the court.

Our owner and director, Layla De La Peña, applies the lessons she’s learned from her volleyball career—both positive and challenging—to guide and develop the next generation of players. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes long-term player development over perfection.

What sets us apart is our commitment to a high standard and expectations. We do not accept every athlete who attends tryouts, nor do we offer lower-tier teams within an age group. Instead, we seek players who are driven to compete at the highest level, which is why our teams participate exclusively in the top divisions of club volleyball at the Open/National level.
